Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Chirpy app ("Chirpy", "we", "us") handles information when you
use it. Chirpy is a mission-based alarm app. We designed it to keep your data on your device wherever
possible. By using Chirpy you agree to this policy.
Information we handle
- Alarm & app data you create (alarm times, selected missions, chosen mission items,
affirmation text, wake-up stats and streaks) is stored locally on your device. We do not
upload it to our servers.
- Camera & photos. For photo missions, the camera captures an image that is analyzed
entirely on your device to verify the mission. These images are processed in memory and are
not stored by us and never uploaded to any server.
- Microphone & speech. For read-aloud missions, audio is captured to check that you spoke
your affirmation, using Apple's Speech framework. We do not keep recordings. Depending on your device and iOS
settings, some audio may be processed by Apple to perform recognition, subject to
Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Purchases & subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use
RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. RevenueCat
receives a randomly generated app user ID, your purchase/transaction details, and a device identifier (such as
the Identifier for Vendor) to deliver your subscription entitlements. We do not receive your name or your
payment card details.
- Referral program (optional). If you redeem a referral code, we send a
randomly generated device identifier (created by the app, stored in your device's Keychain;
it is not your advertising ID and is not linked to your identity) to our server, together with the code, to
grant the reward and prevent the same device from redeeming more than once. If you choose to
create a referral code ("Invite & earn"), you sign in with Apple and we store a
one-way hash of your Apple account identifier, your referral code, and a count of successful
redemptions, so we can credit your rewards. We do not receive or store your name or email address. This data
is kept on Supabase servers in the European Union and holds
referral data only; alarms, stats and streaks are never uploaded.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
- We do not store your photos or voice recordings.
How we use information
To provide alarms and missions, verify mission completion, manage your subscription, and keep the app working
correctly.
Service providers
We rely on Apple (in-app purchases, Sign in with Apple),
RevenueCat (subscription management) and
Supabase (referral program backend, hosted in the EU). They process data
only to provide these services.
Data retention
App data lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app. Subscription records held by RevenueCat are
retained according to their policy. Referral records are kept while the program runs; you can delete your referrer
account (and its stored hash, code and redemption count) at any time with the Delete account button
in Settings › Invite & earn.
Your rights
You can remove all on-device data by deleting the app, and referral account data with the in-app Delete account
button. For any privacy request (including access or deletion of subscription or referral records), or if you are
covered by the GDPR or CCPA, contact us and we will assist.
Children
Chirpy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
